Sharing my weekend travel dump in Cedar City, Utah for my cousins wedding! This weekend so much fun reconnecting with family and relaxing in the beautiful landscape of Utah. Cedar City is about 250 miles south of Salt Lake City the perfect base for anyone exploring the natural beauty of the American Southwest. Mid March still means winter for Utah and when we arrived it was much colder than I imagined/packed for. Although it was a chilly visit it was so refreshing to see snow on the mountains in the distance and a crisp wind throughout the trip.

Aside from visiting with family and attending my cousins wedding we didn’t have much time for anything else like sight seeing around Cedar City. However, I made a short list of things I would love to check out the next time I visit!

CEDAR CITY SIGHTS:

RAHAM RANCH

During our visit in Cedar City we stayed at my aunt and uncles ranch, Raham Ranch, which sits on a few acres of vast wilderness and a stunning view of the Cedar Break Mountain National Monument. I got asked a few times by y’all on Instagram if we were staying at an Air bnb because of how cute my aunts property is and I wish it was so y’all could stay here too! Her and my uncle built their home from the ground up and adorned every corner of it with southwestern style textiles and home decor – in keeping with the culture and terrain of Utah. My aunts attention to the southwestern details made this place feel like a mini ranch resort. I especially loved her eye for turquoise elements through out the home and her one of a kind Pendleton blankets drapped over beds, sofas and even hung on her walls like ancient tapestry.

I couldn’t help myself but have a mini photoshoot in what they call their backyard but to everyone else it looks like a postcard. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous their views of the mountains were. I loved waking up early on Saturday and having a cup of coffee (in a turquoise mug mind you) while I watched the clouds fall over the peaks of the mountain tops. On our last night there we actually had some visitors pass through their land. A little family of deer grazed through Raham Ranch looking for food and we all watched from the back patio doors. It was perhaps the perfect end to the best wedding weekend with family and friends!

WEDDING DAY

My sweet cousin, Reagan, was always my best buddy growing up. Our birthdays are just a few days apart and we are close in age so we spent our childhood playing together and even having a shared birthday party or two! My cousins and my aunt and uncle lived in Nevada for my entire adolescence while we were living in California so we always made trips up to visit them on long weekends or holidays. As I got older my cousins became like goofy older brothers to me and I love them dearly. So you can imagine how special this wedding weekend was that my oldest cousin was finally getting married!!!

It is always something special to see the look of pure happiness on the grooms face the day of their wedding and my cousin couldn’t be happier to marry sweet Kenzie! Their ceremony and reception was held at The Barn in Cedar Meadows which was the perfect setting for this Utah wedding. I loved the tree lined path down to the barn complete with twinkle lights that shined so beautifully at dusk. It truly felt magical and it was such a beautiful day to marry the new Mr. and Mrs. Raham.
