Our first day back at Disney World since 2019 was an experience filled with pure joy and excitement. As we entered the gates of the Happiest Place on Earth, a rush of nostalgia washed over us, reminding Bobby and I of the magical memories we had created here in the past on solo trips. However, this trip in particular held a special significance for us, as we were joined by our entire family – his parents, sister and my parents. It was a reunion of sorts, with everyone eager to relive the enchantment of Disney. Bobby’s family hadn’t been back to Disney since they were very young. Meanwhile my Dad, who hadn’t visited since the 70s, was filled with childlike wonder, and it was an incredible moment to witness my Mom’s first-ever visit.
In this blog post, I will take you through our Disney trip, sharing the highlights of each park we visited and the unforgettable moments we experienced. From the enchantment of our resort where we called home for a week to my Disney-inspired outfits that helped keep the spirit of the happiest place on earth alive throughout our adventure.

DAY ONE: Magic Kingdom
Our first day was a whirlwind of laughter, as we rode all the attractions, encountered beloved characters, indulged in all the Disney snacks and immersed ourselves in the magic of it all at Magic Kingdom. Some of my favorite memories from the day was going on the Haunted Mansion with my Mom (her favorite ride) and riding Space Mountain with my Dad (his favorite ride). For my outfit, I chose to channel the princess vibes, opting for a Little Mermaid-inspired ensemble. Sporting a seashell graphic tee and a coordinating pink tennis skirt (with built in shorts underneath), I embraced a princess look while maintaining comfort throughout the day. It was the perfect blend of athletic wear and whimsical flair, allowing me to feel both stylish and at ease as we explored the wonders of Magic Kingdom.

DAY TWO: Animal Kingdom
Our day at Animal Kingdom was so much fun, especially for me since it’s my favorite park. The highlight was definitely the safari ride, where we got to see the incredible animals in their natural habitats. We couldn’t get enough of Expedition Everest, riding it three times and feeling the thrill with each twist and turn. To satisfy our hunger, we enjoyed a truly incredible meal at the Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – I ordered the chicken and rice bowl and I highly recommend stopping here for lunch after you go on the Pandora rides! As we bid farewell to the park, we couldn’t resist the nostalgia of dining at the Rainforest Cafe conveniently located at the entrance. Bobby and I share similar childhood memories of Rainforest cafe so it’s always something we do at Disney. For our outfits, we opted for matching family Mickey safari shirts from Etsy, so we fit with the theme of Animal Kingdom. My straw bucket hat was the perfect accessory, keeping me cool and stylish in the Florida heat throughout the day.

DAY THREE: Park Hopper – Hollywood Studios & EPCOT
On our last Disney park day, we decided to make the most of our time by park hopping between Hollywood Studios in the morning and EPCOT in the afternoon. The Tower of Terror became our favorite ride and thats where I discovered a special edition pair of ride ears, adding to my collection. The Star Wars installment, Galaxy’s Edge, left us awe-struck, and we spent a significant portion of our day immersed in the world of Jedi and Sith, sipping on the famous blue milk, trying the Black Caf cold brew and enjoying themed cocktails and snacks at Oga’s Cantina Bar. In EPCOT, we we ate our way around the world, sampling margaritas and empanadas in Mexico at Choza De Margarita, chicken pot stickers in China at Lotus Blossom Cafe, and pastries in France. The highlight was the Ratatouille ride, offering a fun 3D immersive experience. For my outfit, I opted for a comfortable tennis dress, perfect for the scorching day of park hopping, and I brought along two different pairs of ears to swap out for each park, adding a touch of Disney magic to my ensemble.

DAY FOUR, FIVE & SIX: Resort Wear & Downtown Disney (Disney Springs)
During our break days from the park, we enjoyed lounging by the pool and getting some shopping in at Downtown Disney, where we savored one of our last meals together at the iconic House of Blues. We stayed at the Marriott Bon Voy Vistana Villages, just a short 12-minute drive from the park entrance. While some prefer staying on Disney property for convenience, we have been loyal to Vistana Villages for the past 7 years. The resort’s spaciousness and amenities, including four dine-in restaurants, a Starbucks, five pools, a mini grocery mart, and a shuttle to Disney, make it feel like a home away from home. Aside from being “on Disney property” there’s not much of difference! My resort-day outfits consisted of essentials like a favorite white one-piece swimsuit for pool days, comfy cut-off shorts and stylish swim cover-ups. I also loved getting to wear this breezy black summer dress from Anthropologie for our day of shopping, adding a touch of elegance to the casual outing.
