“It’s summertime and the living’s easy!”
Summer styles and trends are all about staying cool but also looking great. However, that seems like a challenge when the temps are in the high 90’s come June through July. I always try to wear something flowy like a dress or a skirt to stay cool during these hot summer months. This week I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with ChicWish an online boutique that traces its beginnings back to the original idea: to cater the young generation with a distinct sense of style. I have been a customer of them for a long time so you can only imagine how excited I was to begin this project and showcase some of their dresses for summer. Brighter Stars Dress
If I could live in a gown for the rest of my life this would be it!
I absolutely fell in love with the look and style of this star studded tulle dress for many reasons. It fits me perfectly from the length and up to my waist. For reference I am 5’1 so long dresses don’t always flatter me. However, with the high-low slip underneath it accentuate my legs in all the best ways. Not to mention the beautiful back detailing (which I wasn’t able to capture). The backing has a criss-cross strappy look and I found the straps to fit my torso length very well. I would recommend this dress for special occasions like weddings, graduations and summer soirees/parties. It truly is something special.

The Flower Painting Dress
Flowers for summer is a must but with this look and style it takes that floral trend to another level.
This dress is so versatile in the sense that you can definitely dress it up or down for any occasion. You can wear the sleeves on your shoulder for a more conservative look or drop them down and wear as an off-the-shoulder dress. I loved pairing pops of red with this bold black and white print to complete the look but I could definitely see a pop of pink too. I would recommend wearing this to a work event, date night or luncheon. Oh and best part? It has pockets!

The Neptune Ruffle Dress
Ruffle dresses and gold sequins… that’s all I need for it to be sold!
I love a bold statement print and this dress does just that. With its gold starfish shaped pattern on this nude colored ruffle dress it definitely brings the “wow” factor. This would be a great beach coverup as well if you wanted to dress it down. I paired it with some black scrappy heels and a clutch for a more “going out” look and feel.
