Out with the old – in with the new! It was time to spruce up my bathroom at my parents house. When we first moved in I was in college and my home decor style was far from developed and still youthful/adolescent looking. I had this idea of a gold, white and black bathroom with stripes on the wall… and I did just that (see below for ‘before’ pics).

Fast forward a few years and it’s finally time to change things up! For this remodel I have been looking to Pinterest and Instagram – pulling all the bathroom home decor inspo I could find. I narrowed it down to a more minimal, softer and lighter feel then before with a muted green as my accent color.

Et Voilá! This is what it turned out to be!

I painted the bottom half of the chair rail a hunter green – Alpine Top from Valspar Paint. I got rid of the stripes by doing one coat of primer and then a second coat of Ultra White from Valspar Paint as well. I ordered wallpaper decals from Urban Walls called “inked leaves” and am obsessed with them!!! They are so easy to peel and stick on your walls – especially if you’re like me and don’t want to commit to a full wallpaper scene. I wanted to get a new vanity but it wasn’t in the cards this time around so currently we are sticking with the black one that originally came with the house. However, I did upgrade the vanity mirror, vanity light fixture and added some more minimal decor pieces to really tie in the space. I hope you like it and let me know if this mini bathroom redo was helpful to you! Keep scrolling for some before and after pics of the new space.
