Hello September!!! It’s just a few weeks away from the first day of fall and my house is ready to welcome the new season.
If you’re new here – fall is everything to me. It really consumes me in all the best ways possible. I absolutely love this time of year and count down the days until it arrives. This season I have so many goodies to share with you and the first on my list is my FULL fall home decor tour. This year I decorated our dinette area, living room and entry way for fall with little subtle details like pumpkins and garland to set the tone for the season. SHOP MY DINETTE FALL DECOR
First up is my little dinette area – this is where we eat all of our meals and even host our little Thanksgiving gathering. Our place is on the smaller side since we are renting so its not a full size table but it does seat 4 comfortably. I also decorated our little dish cabinet/coffee rack and I love how it turned out! This space is pretty neutral all year round so adding little pops of rusty oranges and muted browns really softened the look. I kept our table decor simple since its just Bobby and I with a patterned/plaid table runner, our favorite moose plates that remind us of our trip to Alaska and an easy pumpkin + garland wreath centerpiece. One thing I especially loved adding this year was the white fruit basket that I filled with faux mini pumpkins, acorns and pinecones. I love layering and that was the perfect piece for that cabinet.
SHOP MY LIVING ROOM FALL DECOR
Our living room has always been our favorite spot to cozy up and watch movies. But during the fall season that feeling gets kicked up a notch. Especially when its decorated and we throw on a Harry Potter movie while it’s raining outside. This year I went dramatic with the fall florals through out our home and I love the sort of “life” it brings in. These colorful dried eucalyptus stems are perfect for anyone who loves greenery in their home but hates the maintenance. That is definitely me! Also, I added a little string of battery lights for some extra ambience/glow when movie watching. Now unrelated to fall decor – is our couch. I get a few questions from y’all every time I share it. We love it! Like I mentioned above our place is on the smaller size so fitting a huge sofa sectional was just not an option for us but we still wanted that same feel. This couch seats 4 people comfortably and it reclines into an extra bed/sleeping space for guests. The chaise lounge part also has a built in storage compartment underneath which is perfect for storing extra blankets under (thats what we do).
SHOP MY ENTRY WAY FALL DECOR
Lastly, tying in all the fall home decor in our home is our entry way. I love how cute this small space turned out and since it is just a small entry way I kept our decor simple and not over powering. This is the first thing you see when you enter our home after all. I have been seeing these candlesticks used all through out homes this year and have loved the trend so I had to jump on it too. They are very elegant looking and such a simple piece that adds an extra ounce of flare to a space. Next I filled our glass terrarium with fall garland and acorns to tie in the rest of the garland and fall colors sprinkled through out our home. I finished the table off with a small stack of books like Harry Potters short stories collection to go with the fall theme.
I hope you enjoyed this years fall home decor tour! It is my favorite time of year and decorating for the seasons always puts me in the best mood. I hope this gives you the inspiration you need to begin your fall decorating too. Stick around and come back to TheBlonderella.com for my Halloween Home Decor next month!
