Since (in my mind) September is the month of “Halloween Eve” haha I decided to round up my favorite Halloween shows, songs and movies to get YOU in that spooky Halloween spirit.
Shows:
Halloween Wars: On Food Network Channel starting Sept. 25th 10pm/9c (old episodes can be found on Amazon Prime to watch!)
Halloween Baking Championship: Food Network Channel premiering on Sept. 25th 9pm/8c (old episodes can be found on Amazon/Hulu!)
13 Nights of Halloween: Freeform Channel premiering Oct. 19th – 31st.
Home & Family: Hallmark Channel premiering all morning long September through October. Showcases DIY home decor, food and entertainment for Halloween festivities.
It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown: ABC Channel premiering Oct. 19th
Songs:
I’ve created a Halloween playlist on Spotify that you can listen to here (click this link)or below!
Movies:
Now I know everyone has their own favorite Halloween movies for the season, but I’ve rounded some classic halloween movies some people forget about or haven’t seen yet.
Practical Magic: my all time favorite throwback “witchy” movie. I love the story of sisterly bonding and how nothing can come between them. Also, spells are casted! haha (Its on Netflix!)
Moms Got a Date with a Vampire: O.K. this is a Disney Channel Original Movie and as far as acting it is terrible but its apart of my childhood. Since the acting is kinda bad it’ll make for a laugh-out-loud halloween movie experience haha. Great story though! (On Amazon)
The Little Vampire: I absolutely love this one. Another one from my childhood but how can you not fall in love with the cute little kid from the Stuart Little movies. (On Amazon)
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies: If you love Jane Austen books (like me! haha) you’ll like this new adaptation. Its perfect for Halloween with all the zombies running.
Van Helsing: Dracula, Werewolves, (a hunky Hugh Jackman as) Van Helsing and his beautiful bad ass side-kick played by Kate Beckinsale… its soooo good!
The rest are all movies that we know and love and can’t get enough of like: Harry Potter Series, Hocus Pocus, Halloween Town Series, Ghostbusters, Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Addam’s Family, Sleepy Hollow and much more. Feel free to comment below what your favorite Halloween movies are!
So let the witching hour begin
and get into that Halloween spirit!
I already have!

E.T has to be another good one. Ya it’s old and the effects aren’t that great but it’s definitely a classic. I am not one for scary/horror movies on Halloween (or in general for that matter, lol) The Craft is another good one to add.
Thanks for your list and getting me into the Halloween spirit. What is your favorite Halloween drink and treats?
I love the Craft too! Glad this got you in the spirit! My favorite Halloween treat is pumpkin bread, sooo yummy. Can’t wait to make some. Thanks for reading xo
I ADORE halloween haha, I think Nightmare before christmas clinches it for me though :p x
Me too! Nightmare before Christmas is the best! Thanks for reading (:
